About Shawn Clemens & Family
Hi, my name is Shawn Clemens, President of Clemens Home Solutions. I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself and my family to you.
My wife Melanie and I have been blessed with four amazing children: Ethan, Landon, Morgan, and Camron. We are very proud of the inspiring young people they continue to be.
Two of my life goals are 1) to assist young people in making good choices and 2) to offer a helping hand to those who need it. I work toward these goals not just through home improvement, but active involvement with Heartland Christian School in New Castle and The Muncie Mission.
I fell in love with construction at an early age. I started this company in 1998 when I was 19 years old. And I’m proud to see it continue to thrive after all these years. (You can read all about our company’s journey in the Company History below.)

Our Company History
1984
At age 6, Shawn Clemens and his family move from Salisbury, NC to Muncie, IN. They relocate so Shawn’s father Stephen can take over the pastorship at Pilgrim Holiness Church in Muncie.
1988
Shawn Clemens catches the remodeling bug at just 10 years old. He assists in the renovation of Pilgrim Holiness Church’s new private school and helps several contractors who attend the church. Shawn learns roofing, framing, and several other kinds of construction.
1996
Shawn graduates high school. He gets a full-time job at Sproles Construction, assisting in building homes, churches, and family centers. Shawn gains considerable home-improvement knowledge and experience.
1998
At age 19, Shawn starts Clemens Seamless Guttering. He takes out a $9,000 loan to buy a gutter-manufacturing machine and a trailer. Shawn works out of his parent’s parsonage shed.
2002
Word of mouth spreads about the high quality of Clemens Seamless Guttering. Homeowners also constantly contact the company for other kinds of exterior remodeling. The business grows. They build a 3,200 sq ft office space and move the company.
2006
Clemens is over 20 employees strong. They add another 1,200 sq ft of office space and more trucks/trailers to the company fleet to accommodate the growing staff.
2016
Business keeps booming. The Clemens team keeps growing. The company moves into a 20,000 sq ft building on Madison Street in Muncie, Indiana. The team renovates the building for ample office space, a conference room, a kitchen, and a beautiful showroom.
To better reflect their services, the company updates their name to Clemens Home Solutions in 2017.
2022
Over 30 employees strong, Clemens Home Solutions is one of the largest locally owned exterior remodelers in East Central Indiana. We would be honored to hear from you!

I am very happy with my new gutters. No more leaking at the corners where my old gutters met. i probably got in the way of Luis and his team with all my questions and curiosity of how the gutters were made on sight but both of them were very helpful and friendly and didn't seem to mind me interrupting their work. I've never had a company stay in touch with me before the project was started like they did. I highly recommend them!!
Overall 5 star experience. Our project had some challenges and we had to change plans a few times and someone from Clemens was always in contact with us. The work was completed in a day and they communicated with us during the project. They cleaned up, were super nice, and the windows look wonderful!
Clemens did a great job of replacing my gutters. Eric Logan was a great sales person, no high pressure, just information. Luis and his team did the replacement and were quick and very good! Luis made sure he followed up with me and that I was happy. I asked for a longer down spout on my front porch and Luis came and replaced it right away!! Thank you. They were great to work with.
Extremely happy with the service and communication! Had all new windows and a front door installed . The crew was super friendly , and explained things as they installed . They didn’t mind me being in their way! They were all very professional, and did a great job cleaning up afterwards!
